Easter, Slowed Down
A whole food lunch to gather, nourish + reconnect
There’s something about Easter that invites a softer pace.
Less rush.
More time at the table.
Food that feels grounding, shared, and made with intention.
This year, instead of the usual spread, I’m leaning into something a little different…
A Lebanese-inspired whole food lunch, simple, vibrant, and designed to be shared.
Why Lebanese?
It’s the kind of food that naturally brings people together.
Plates in the middle.
Hands reaching.
Layers of colour, texture, and flavour.
It’s fresh, wholesome, and doesn’t rely on anything overly complicated, just good ingredients, done well.
Exactly the kind of food that feels right for Easter.
The Table (Simple + Beautiful)
Think relaxed but intentional.
A few platters, warm bread, fresh herbs, and everything laid out to graze.
No pressure. No perfection. Just abundance.
What I’m Planning to Serve
🥗 Fresh + Vibrant
- Fattoush salad (crispy, lemony, fresh herbs) or Tabouli
- Tomato + cucumber salad with olive oil + sea salt
- A big bowl of hummus (always extra)
🥙 The Heart of It
- Slow cooked lamb or chicken with garlic + lemon
- Falafel (store bought or homemade — both work)
- Warm flatbreads or wraps
🌿 The Extras (that make it feel special)
- Labneh with olive oil + za’atar
- Hommus
- Olives + pickled vegetables
- Fresh herbs — mint, parsley, coriander
🍯 Something Sweet to Finish
- Fresh fruit platter
- A simple honey + yoghurt drizzle
- Or a little something chocolate (it is Easter after all)
Why This Works for Easter
It’s:
- Whole food focused (you actually feel good after eating it)
- Flexible (add, remove, simplify)
- Easy to prep ahead
- Perfect for grazing — no one stuck in the kitchen
And most importantly…
It creates space to sit, connect, and slow down
A Different Kind of Easter Energy
Not overdone.
Not overwhelming.
Just:
- Good food
- Good people
- A table that feels warm and welcoming
That’s the kind of Easter I’m leaning into this year.
If You’re Hosting…
Keep it simple.
You don’t need everything.
Even just:
- hummus
- bread
- one protein
- one salad
…is enough to create something beautiful.
From Me to You 🧡
Whether your table is full or quiet this year,
I hope it feels nourishing in every way.
Food. Energy. Connection.
That’s what it’s really about.
