There’s an extra buzz in the air this week, and it’s not just the sea breeze off North Beach. The 2025 World Triathlon Championship Finals have officially landed in Wollongong, transforming our coastline into a global sporting stage. 🌊

From October 15–19, the Blue Mile, Belmore Basin, and Cove Beach will come alive with the energy of thousands of athletes, supporters, and fans. Expect swim starts off the harbour, fast-paced bike laps along Marine Drive, and crowds cheering every stride along the foreshore.

It’s the first time Wollongong has hosted the World Triathlon Finals and the city is set to shine, combining world-class competition with those unbeatable Illawarra views.

Among the international elites and age-group warriors, our local talent is stepping up. Erin Hargrave, representing the Cronulla Triathlon Club.

Erin’s journey to the start line has been nothing short of inspiring — from winning her age group at the Nepean Triathlon, to claiming gold at the World Duathlon Championships just months after recovering from injury. Her passion, grit, and determination make her a true standout, and we love hearing her accomplishments here at Lokamo.

So from all of us at Lokamo, we’re sending Erin a massive GOOD LUCK — you’ve done the hard work, now it’s time to enjoy every second of the ride.
