This year, International Women’s Day (IWD) will be held on Friday 8 March - a day that provides an opportunity to celebrate women’s achievements, and both highlight and work to address barriers that continue to prevent gender parity.  IWD is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of all women, while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender balance.

The theme for IWD 2019 is #BalanceforBetter - where collective action and shared responsibility for driving a gender-balanced world is fundamental.
